Welcome to BusinessAtCost ("Platform", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.

1. Nature of the Platform

BusinessAtCost is an online listing and marketing platform that allows business owners ("Sellers") to list businesses or assets for sale and allows interested parties ("Buyers") to browse and contact Sellers.

2. User Registration

By registering an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information as needed
• Be responsible for safeguarding your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Confidential Information

Business listings may contain confidential or proprietary information. By accessing listing materials, you agree:

• To use such information solely to evaluate a potential transaction
• Not to share, copy, or distribute listing information without Seller consent
• Not to use information for competitive or harmful purposes
• To protect confidential information with reasonable care

These obligations survive termination of your account. If you share listing details with advisors (lawyers, accountants, etc.), you are responsible for ensuring they maintain confidentiality.

4. No Brokerage Representation

BusinessAtCost does not provide buyer representation, seller representation, real estate brokerage services, or legal, tax, or financial advice. Users are encouraged to conduct independent due diligence and consult qualified professionals before entering into any transaction.

5. Accuracy of Listings

Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings.

BusinessAtCost does not independently verify:

• Financial statements
• Revenue claims
• Ownership
• Legal compliance
• Intellectual property
• Assets or liabilities

Users access and rely on listing information at their own risk.

6. Prohibited Conduct

Users agree not to:

• Submit false or misleading information
• Impersonate another person or business
• Circumvent the platform to avoid applicable fees
• Harvest user data
• Interfere with platform security
• Use information to compete unfairly with a Seller

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Fees

If listing or premium services are offered for a fee, you agree that:

• Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated
• We may change pricing with reasonable notice
• Failure to pay applicable fees may result in suspension

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BusinessAtCost shall not be liable for:

• Loss of profits
• Failed transactions
• Misrepresentations by users
• Indirect or consequential damages
• Any dispute between Buyers and Sellers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available."

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BusinessAtCost from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Platform
• Your listings
• Your transactions
• Your violation of these Terms

10. Intellectual Property

All platform content, branding, design, and software are the property of BusinessAtCost. Users may not copy, reproduce, or exploit platform materials without written permission.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts, remove listings, or restrict access for any violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

13. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.
